Three arrested with brown sugar worth Rs 3.6 lakh

Indore: Three men were arrested from Super Corridor service road allegedly for illegal possession of 36 grams of brown sugar. The seized contraband has an estimated market value of Rs 3.60 lakh, Indore Crime Branch said on Monday.Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Crime Branch Rajesh Kumar Tripathi stated that, based on a tip-off, a team set up a blockade on the service road and intercepted three individuals riding a motorcycle.During a physical inspection of the vehicle, the team found brown sugar concealed beneath the motorcycle’s seat. The three, Manita Kewat, Akash Kaushal and Rishi Yadav, were searching for buyers to sell the narcotics when they were apprehended. According to investigators, all three men work as labourers.The Crime Branch registered a case and was interrogating the three to trace the origin of the contraband, establish their supply network and identify intended buyers in the region.
