The Principal District and Sessions Judge in Nellore on Monday (March 30, 2026) awarded ten years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) to three persons for cheating the public through money circulation schemes.
Nellore Fourth Town police, Ganapavaram police of West Godavari, Kuchipudi police of Krishna district, Kadapa One Town and the Kakinada II Town police had registered cases related to money circulation schemes and multi-level marketing in 2008, which was later transferred to the Crime Investigation Department (CID).
The court awarded 10 years of imprisonment to Questnet Enterprises India Pvt. Limited, Chennai, Managing Director Pushpam Appala Naidu, and directors R. Kamakshi Ranganathan and Augustine Joseph, besides imposing a fine of ₹1 lakh each for duping customers.
In a statement, CID Director General of Police A. Ravi Shankar Ayyanar cautioned the public against unauthorised money circulation schemes, fraudulent gold coin offers, and other such schemes.
