Three held for attacking youth with knife and axe in Mailardevpally

Three persons were apprehended by Mailardevpally police on Thursday (April 2) for allegedly attacking a youth with a knife and an axe near Adiba Hotel in Sasthripuram during the early hours of the day.

Three persons identified as Syed Shaibaz (19), Sahanavaz Khan alias Syed Sahanavaz Khan (20), and Rizwan Bin Suleman Baharmuz (18), were named as accused. The victim, Mohd. Fahad alias Fahad Baba (19), sustained injuries to the back of the head, left ear and shoulder and is undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital.

Police said the attack took place at about 12.30 a.m. and was allegedly carried out using a knife, an axe and a sickle. The motive is suspected to be a prior dispute, as the victim had earlier been involved in a case in which he allegedly attacked the prime accused, leading to a grudge.

The weapons used in the offence were seized and the accused were produced before the court. Further investigation is in progress.
