Three killed as cars collide near Kadapa

Tirupati: Three people were killed, and three others were injured in a road accident reported near Kadapa on Saturday.According to the Chennur police, two cars coming in opposite directions rammed into each other at high speed near Palempalli cross on the Kadapa ring road.Three occupants of a car were killed on the spot after a severe accident. The deceased were identified as Harshavardhan (27), Kishore (28) and Sudheer Kumar Reddy (24). All three were residents of the Jeevakona locality in Tirupati and were heading to Hyderabad on some work when the accident was reported.The safety airbags in the other car rescued its occupants from fatality in a collision, and they had a close shave.Upon receiving the information, teams from both the traffic police and the Chennur police station rushed to the accident site.The bodies of the deceased were recovered from the wreckage and shifted to the local govt hospital for post-mortem examinations. Chennur police registered a case and initiated a comprehensive investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision.
