Three of a family drown in Nadapuram

Three members of a family drowned in Puliyavu river near Nadapuram in Kozhikode district on Saturday. The victims were identified as Areekkundil Ansar, his wife Suhada Mariam and Ansar’s niece Iza Mariam.

The incident took place around 4 p.m. The police said the couple drowned during their efforts to save the girl who fell into the river. They came to the riverside to wash their clothes, the police said.
