Three workers of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) were injured after a sidewall collapsed in the SRP-3 underground coal mine in the Srirampur Area of Mancherial district on Thursday.
According to SSCL sources, the injured workers were identified as Sampath Kumar, Mahender and Ravikumar.
The incident occurred while they were carrying out roof-bolting work in the underground mine, sources said.
The injured workers were shifted to the Singareni Area Hospital in the coal town for treatment.
Meanwhile, Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna directed SCCL officials to ensure priority medical care for the injured workers.
He spoke to senior SCCL officials and enquired about the cause of the accident.
Mr. Vamsi Krishna instructed the officials to provide prompt and advanced medical treatment to the injured workers.
He emphasised the need to prioritise workers’ safety and strictly adhere to all safety standards in Singareni coal mines.
