Three youths drown while fishing in Musi River

Three youths drowned in Musi River while fishing in Gandipet mandal on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Govardhan (23), Venkatesh (19) and Karthik (23), all residents of Ibrahimpur.

According to the police, the three had gone to the river for fishing and entered the water when the incident occurred. Local residents who noticed the incident immediately alerted the police. Personnel rushed to the spot and launched a search operation in the river.

The bodies of the three youths were later retrieved and shifted for postmortem examination.

The Narsingi police registered a case and further investigation is underway.
