Nepal’s ties with India were not affected during the months of unrest and uncertainty following the September 2025 unseating of the K. P. Sharma Oli-led government, said Kathmandu’s Envoy Shankar Sharma on Monday (April 27, 2026).

Speaking about the future of bilateral relations, Mr. Sharma, who has completed his tenure here and will return next month, said energy cooperation is crucial to the ties.
