CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on Sunday cancelled the Group II A main examinations due to a technical glitch.Officials said about 600 candidates were wrongly allocated exam centres because of a software error.Around 1,000 candidates turned up for the exam at a college that had arrangements for only 300 candidates.More than 9,000 candidates were scheduled to appear for the mains exam, which is being held for 1,000 vacancies in assistant, revenue inspector, and other posts.“The revised exam dates will be announced in two weeks. Due to this error, the Group II Tamil eligibility test scheduled for the afternoon has also been postponed,” said TNPSC Controller of Examinations A. Shanmuga Sundaram.
