While pollution levels showed a slight improvement, the overall air quality continued to pose health concerns, settling in the “very poor” category.

After several days of ‘severe’ pollution, residents experienced marginal relief as air quality improved compared to Monday. Data from the Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) Sameer app showed Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) at 381 at around 6.30 am on Tuesday. Despite the improvement, the “very poor” air quality can still trigger breathing discomfort, particularly among children, the elderly and people with respiratory ailments.

In addition to pollution, foggy conditions further affected daily life, disrupting air travel in the capital. Delhi airport issued a passenger advisory, noting that flight operations are gradually returning to normal.
