₹5 lakh benefit in four installments

Under the scheme, ₹5 lakh would be provided to each beneficiary for construction of a house. It is disbursed in four instalments: first instalment of ₹1 lakh upon completion of basement, second instalment of ₹1.25 lakh on completion of walls, ₹1.75 lakh after laying the slab and the remaining ₹1 lakh after complete construction of the house. Photos have to be uploaded by government staff or the beneficiary to an app to get the amount.

Installment after 15 days on completing a stage

A few weeks ago, the Corporation’s managing director V.P. Gautham asked  project directors and deputy engineers to spread awareness among people that the amount would be released on every Monday, within 15 days after completion of each stage.

On the occasion, the Minister spoke with two callers; a beneficiary from Wanaparthy complained about delay in releasing the first instalment and another caller from Hyderabad asked when would the houses be granted to people in the city. He has assured their issues would be looked into.
