Amid the excitement surrounding the teaser trailer launch of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone', Tom Felton, who played a leading role in the 'Harry Potter' film series, shared some interesting tidbits about his time with the new cast. Felton, best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the hit film series, revealed that he reached out to newcomer Lox Pratt, who is set to play the famed character in the upcoming series. Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Felton shared the advice he offered his successor.“Have as much fun as possible," he said with a smile and added, "Take as many pictures as you can, steal as many props as you can. They’ll be worth a fortune."
Reflecting on his own experience growing up on the film sets, he added, "But also, if you do need a word of encouragement or questions to ask, I'm there."Looking back on his own journey with the franchise and the cast, Felton also spoke about his friendship with co-star Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger."I don’t think there’s anything she couldn’t do," Tom said during the podcast. "There’s no one that I admire more, really, considering being cast for such a now pivotal role in history.
The added dimension of being a young woman, a young girl going through that is another level of complexity."Previously, Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the films, told ClutchPoints that he has "no advice for anybody" working on the show.He went on to asy, "Enjoy the hell out of it. I had a great time [on the] film sets. Even when you’re a kid, you are still a kid, so you should be having a good time doing whatever you’re doing."The series features a new cast, including Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. It also stars John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Snape, and Nick Frost as Hagrid, among others.The series releases on Christmas, 25 December 2026.
