Tottenham remain just a single point above the relegation zone following their 1-3 defeat at home to visiting Crystal Palace on Friday, as Igor Tudor’s task of Spurs course-correction was handed a further blow.

Sarr’s double either side of Jorgen Strad Larsen’s strike gave Palace a 3-1 win over 10-man Spurs as Micky Van de Ven received the marching orders in the first half of the game.

The game was off to a positive start for Spurs with Dominic Solanke netting for Tudor’s men in the 34th minute, but the joy turned to agony with Micky being brandished the red mere moments later.

Sarr made o mistake from the spot to level the proceedings before Larsen put Palace ahead in the first minute of first period stoppage time.

Things went from bad to worse for Tottenham as Sarr made it two to the good in the seventh minute of added time before the referee sounded the whistle for the end of an eventful first half.

Palace held on to their lead in the second period of the game to take their season’s tally to 38 points from 29 games and stand 13th in the league, while Spurs languish in the 16th spot in the English top-flight with just 29 points from as many games.

“It was two games. After the red card, it was a second game. The second half we tried and I saw interesting things but I’m very disappointed like the fans," Tudor said following the conclusion of the game.

“We need to work hard and believe. After this game, I believe more than I did before. I know that sounds strange but I saw something in the team."

“Even in the dressing room after the game. When we are complete and choose the right guys, I believe it will be good," he stated.
