Training camp on digital preservation of Kerala’s heritage

: The Heritage Wikipedia one-day training camp will be held in Kozhikode from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday (September 12, 2025). The camp will bring together experts and enthusiasts to discuss the significance of digital preservation of Kerala’s cultural heritage. The event, organised by City Heritage in collaboration with Wikimedia Kerala, a collective of Keralites who actively contribute to Wikipedia, aims to equip participants with the skills needed to contribute to digital platforms including Wikipedia.

The training camp will feature sessions on Wikipedia editing, digital storytelling, and best practices for showcasing Kerala’s rich cultural heritage online. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with experts and learn about the importance of preserving historical landmarks and cultural traditions in the digital age, according to a press release.
