Transport Minister C.P. John visited the Sringeri Sharadambal Temple in Palakkad on Monday (July 6, 2026) and interacted with Vedic students. Addressing the students, he said Vedic studies were a hallmark of Indian culture and congratulated them for preserving a tradition passed down through generations.
“Vedic studies have a profound impact on the mind, creating positive vibrations and guiding thoughts in the right direction,” he said.
Mr. John enquired about the students’ daily routines, studies and course of learning. He said listening to the chanting of the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Shukla Yajurveda was a rare privilege.
Sringeri Mutt Dharmadhikari Karimpuzha Raman and S. Subramanian welcomed the Minister.
Kerala Brahmana Sabha (KBS) former general secretary N.V. Sivaramakrishnan, district secretary Venkitachalam, and other leaders T. Santhanagopalakrishnan, M.R. Krishnan, Vaidyanathan R., Geetha Krishnan, Ganesan, Darhas, Sai Krishna and Karthik Seshadri were present.
