Travis Kelce’s name came up in a surprising way this week. On September 15, 2025, ESPN New York radio host Don La Greca said he believes the NFL will not let the Kansas City Chiefs fall to 0-3 this season.

The Chiefs lost their first two games, first against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil on opening weekend, then against the Philadelphia Eagles at home in Kansas City. Now, before their Week 3 Sunday Night Football matchup against the New York Giants on September 21, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, La Greca says the league has “too much on the line” to allow another loss.

Don La Greca links Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift to NFL conspiracy

Speaking on his radio show with Peter Rosenberg and Alan Hahn, La Greca said the league cares too much about the attention surrounding Travis Kelce and his relationship with superstar Taylor Swift. He told listeners, “Call me a conspiracy theorist. The NFL is not going to allow the Kansas City Chiefs to lose that game on national television and be 0-3.”

La Greca even joked that fans will see referee calls go the Chiefs’ way. “I’m telling you we’re going to sit here next Monday and say there were at least three calls where we’ll wonder, how did that happen?” he added. The radio host pushed his point further by connecting it directly to Kelce and Swift. “They’re getting married later. They’re engaged,” La Greca claimed, hinting that the league wants to keep that powerful fanbase happy.

He said the NFL would never want the Chiefs to look weak when so many millions are watching.

The New York Giants have also started 0-2 this season. That is why Rosenberg asked on air if the Chiefs really need outside “help” from the league. La Greca replied that it doesn’t matter, because “the league just won’t allow it.” He even joked that Commissioner Roger Goodell might “run on the field” to make sure the Chiefs win. Also Read: Patrick Mahomes Quiet After Charlie Kirk Shooting At Utah As Randi Mahomes And Tavia Hunt Speaks OutThe Chiefs have not started a season 0-3 since 2011, when they later fired head coach Todd Haley.
