Travis Kelce has shared some new dating advice, at a time when his wedding date with taylor Swift is making the headlines. With wedding rumors linking him to global pop icon Taylor Swift and a June 13 date widely circulated, the Kansas City Chiefs star sounds less like a brash young tight end and more like a man who has learned a few things about connection.

On the latest episode of his New Heights podcast, Kelce offered thoughtful guidance to a caller hoping to ask someone out.It was not long ago that Kelce’s dating advice raised eyebrows. A decade back, during an appearance with Ramona Singer on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, he delivered comments that felt immature, even by locker room standards. Now, as he prepares for marriage and balances football with life in the public eye, his tone is noticeably different.

Calmer. More considered.

On a special Friday edition of New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, the Chiefs veteran responded to a simple question. How do you approach a woman you want to ask out?“I think first you gotta figure out what do you like about her?” the 26-year-old Kelce advised the caller, as quoted by People Magazine. “You like the way she looks? She likes the way she dresses? You like how funny she is? You like like how kind she is?”The advice felt grounded. Personal. Instead of rehearsed lines or gimmicks, Kelce urged clarity.

Know what draws you in. Be honest about it. Then say it.

“That will get you in the door or at least,” Kelce declared. “You gauge how she reacts to that and then that gives you a better understanding of whether or not she would be willing to go out with you. But that’s always a good conversation starter to let someone know that you like them.”There was a moment of humor when Jason shared a tip once offered by their father, Ed Kelce.

“Find her unattractive friend and you befriend her and you start making her feel like she’s interested,” Jason Kelce said, quoting his own father.Travis did not hesitate.“Do not listen to that advice. That is the 1950s way of dating,” the Chiefs 13-year veteran tight end said. “There’s no other way around it other than you just gotta just gotta do it, man. You just gotta own it. You gotta have some cojones. What’s the worst she’s gonna say? No?”It was a sharp contrast to his younger self. Years ago, when asked if it was a dealbreaker if a woman declined to go to bed with him after three dates, he replied, “The third date. I feel like that’s the breaker right there. Three dates, that’s like the one.” He later softened that stance, admitting, “I mean, I don’t want to say a deal breaker, but it would put some questions in there.”Time changes people. Fame does too. In Kelce’s case, love may have played a role as well.
