Travis Kelce is all about praising his fiancée Taylor Swift’s cooking skills; however, that may have ended up causing him a little problem. In a recent podcast appearance, the star player opened up about Swift’s baking skills and talked about how he ended up gaining quite a few pounds.

Not only that, but Kelce even ended up detailing a hilarious consequence to all of this as well!

Travis Kelce talks about gaining a few pounds because of Taylor Swift

While featuring on the latest episode of ‘Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce’, Travis Kelce opened up about how great a baker his longtime beau Swift is. Kelce cited that he loves the sourdough bread that she makes, though it has resulted in him gaining a few pounds. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end hilariously also pointed out a major mishap that ended up happening because of all of this.

Sharing a video from the podcast on his social media account, Kelce started off by saying, “Hi, I’m Travis Kelce, Kylie Kelce’s brother-in-law,” he added, “And I’m not gonna lie. I broke Taylor’s chair with the weight I gained from her sourdough.”

As the two laughed about the matter, he further commented with a funny look on his face, “good gut health though”, which prompted Kylie to say that this is what true love looks like.

This is not the first time that the 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end has mentioned the ‘Opalite’ singer’s baking skills.

Taylor Swift’s baking skills

In August 2025, Swift and Kelce appeared on ‘Travis and Jason’s New Heights’ podcast to announce her new album, among many other things. While featuring on the podcast, Kelce had talked about his soon-to-be wife’s obsessions and hobbies, and had compared them to a granny’s hobbies in the 70s, making everyone laugh. Further addressing her baking prowess, he had added that ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ star has “a different baking obsession every six months,” while calling himself the “luckiest man in the world.”Kelce is not the only one who benefits from Swift’s baking prowess, as she often gifts homemade items to her close friends. On Selena Gomez’s birthday last year on July 22, her now husband Benny Blanco had shared a photo of a bread basket that the singer had gifted the couple. The bread packets had stickers that had “Homemade sourdough. For Selena + Benny,” followed with a heart, as well as another phrase reading “It’s a loaf story” written on them.
