Tributes paid to fallen firefighters on National Fire Service Day in Ongole

Prakasam District Fire Officer K. Srikanth Reddy, along with his staff, paid tributes to the fallen firefighters at a specially erected martyrs’ memorial, marking the beginning of National Fire Service Week 2026 celebrations, in Ongole on Tuesday (April 14, 2026).

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Fire Service Week is observed from April 14–20, and this year the theme is “Safe School, Safe Hospital & Fire Safety Aware Society – Together for Fire Prevention,” focusing on safety education, emergency protocols, and fire prevention strategies.
