BENGALURU: A 42-year-old manager working with a transport company in Mahadevapura was robbed of gold ornaments worth more than Rs 12 lakh by three unidentified miscreants who threatened him inside his car near Budigere Cross recently.The victim, Shankar M, a resident of Budigere village, had finished work and was driving back home in his car. When he was near Budigere Cross around 10.55pm, two scooter-borne miscreants signalled him to stop by waving their hands. Believing it might be someone he knew, he pulled over.Two assailants then entered the car while a third person stood near the car door. The man seated in the back allegedly threatened the victim with a black weapon that looked like a pistol and demanded that he hand over his gold ornaments.The trio took a gold bracelet weighing 22 grams, two gold rings weighing 21 grams, a gold chain weighing 28 grams, a gold dollar weighing 5 grams, a wristwatch, and the keys to the car before fleeing.
