The long-awaited “Trump Phone” has reportedly undergone a change in design and specifications. Executives from Trump Mobile revealed a complete redesign of the T1 Phone, accompanied by upgraded internal specifications and a revised pricing strategy.
The development comes after the company missed several launch deadlines since its initial June 2025 announcement. According to a report by The Verge, the company’s leadership – Don Hendrickson and Eric Thomas – confirmed in a recent video briefing that the T1 has been overhauled to “skip the entry-level” and compete with flagship phones.
Trump Phone T1 price and availability
While the original price was set at $499, Trump Mobile is preparing a price hike for new customers.
Those who placed a $100 deposit will still pay the “introductory” price of $499, the report noted. For new buyers, the final retail price is yet to be decided but is confirmed to be higher than $499, though remaining “less than $1,000”. According to the report, the shipping is currently targeted for late March 2026, following the completion of carrier certifications.Trump Mobile claims the new T1 will be comparable to devices priced over $1,000, though its core hardware places it in the high-end mid-range category.

Trump Phone T1 gets a design and specs change
The Verge reports that one of the most notable change will be the removal of the “T1” logo from the back of the device, which appeared in early marketing renders. The signature gold finish will remain and the American flag icon is expected to get some iteration with the “Trump Mobile” branding. However, the biggest refresh comes in the rear camera housing that has been completely redesigned. The previously teased square, iPhone-like array has been replaced by a vertical black oval island containing three lenses. As far as the specifications are concerned, the smartphone has also grown in size. It will now feature a 6.78-inch “waterfall” curved display, moving away from the smaller 6.25-inch screen briefly listed on the company website late last year, the publication reports.Under the hood, Trump Mobile will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series chipset, details of which are not available yet. The SoC will be paired with 512GB of internal storage, with support for up to 1TB via microSD. For cameras, both the front-facing selfie camera and the primary rear sensor have been upgraded to 50MP. The phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the phone has cleared FCC certification and is currently undergoing final testing for the T-Mobile network.
