US President Donald Trump brushed off Prince Harry’s recent remarks urging stronger American action to end the war in Ukraine, saying the British royal does not represent the United Kingdom. The US President said, “I know one thing, Prince Harry is not speaking for the UK, that’s for sure. I think I am speaking for the UK more than Prince Harry. But I appreciate his advice very much."
He then added with a quip, “How’s he doing? How’s his wife?"
“Please give him my regards," Trump said further, appearing to reference Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry’s Ukraine Visit
Prince Harry had recently visited Ukraine, where he called on the United States to increase support for Kyiv and urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to “choose a different course." His comments came amid continuing international debate over military and diplomatic backing for Ukraine.
King Charles-Camilla To Visit US
King Charles III and Queen Camilla are set to begin a four-day state visit to the United States from April 27 to April 30. Buckingham Palace confirmed that the royal couple will travel to Washington, D.C., New York City and Virginia. The visit will include a private tea with Trump, a ceremonial military review and a state dinner. King Charles is also scheduled to become only the second British monarch to address a joint meeting of the US Congress.

Attention has also been drawn to a garden party invitation at the British ambassador’s residence carrying an unusual note discouraging hats, a break from long-standing royal custom. The royal visit is being positioned as a celebration of the deep economic, cultural and security ties between the United States and the United Kingdom, timed with the 250th anniversary of American independence.
It also follows recent tensions after US and Israeli military action against Iran, during which Trump publicly criticised British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for what he described as a lack of support. Despite political friction, Trump has maintained warm personal remarks about the monarchy, calling the upcoming visit “TERRIFIC" in a recent social media post.
