Twin brothers drown in waterbody

Mangaluru: Five-year-old twin brothers drowned after allegedly falling into a waterbody near their house while playing in Murulya village of Sullia taluk on Saturday. Sources said that the deceased are Jashwin and Jashwith.According to a complaint, Vasantha was living with his wife and their two five-year-old sons. He brought the children home from school in the afternoon.Later in the evening, he and his wife left the children at home and went to work in an agricultural field near their house. When his wife returned home after finishing work, the children were missing. The couple searched the surrounding area. The bodies of both children were found in a pond near their house.Based on the complaint, Bellare police have registered a case under under Section 194 of BNSS and have taken up further investigation.
