The Madhya Pradesh High Court has approved the plea for a second autopsy of Twisha Sharma by specialists from AIIMS Delhi. The court directed that the body must be preserved and rejected the mother-in-law's demand for immediate cremation. The Solicitor General informed the court that the government has no objection to the procedure and suggested that specialists from AIIMS Delhi conduct the postmortem. To prevent further deterioration of the body, the court ordered the medical team from the national capital to travel to Madhya Pradesh instead of moving the deceased. The family had demanded a fresh autopsy, citing unanswered questions and discrepancies in the initial investigation, including the failure of officers to seize the belt allegedly used in the suicide. Meanwhile, the deceased woman's husband, who evaded authorities for ten days, has decided to surrender and apply for regular bail. The state government has also requested a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the case as arguments regarding the cancellation of anticipatory bail commence.
