A duo transporting 21.33 kilograms of ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad in a private bus were arrested by the Telangana Prohibition and Excise enforcement teams in Rangareddy on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) morning.
Acting on a tip-off, the officers intercepted the bus near Ramoji Film City and carried out checks. Two briefcases kept in the luggage compartment were found to contain the contraband, valued at around ₹12 lakh.
The accused, identified as Biren Naik and Rajender Chitti, were taken into custody and handed over to the Hayatnagar excise station.

Investigation revealed that the consignment was arranged by a man named Kushbh in Odisha. The delivery was meant for a contact in Hyderabad. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
