Two die in an accident on Shivamogga-Tirthahalli road near Gajanur

Two people died and around 15 people suffered injuries when a private bus hit a truck parked on Shivamogga-Tirthahalli road near Gajanur in Shivamogga taluk on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Harshith, 25, a native of Challakere in Chitradurga district and Annappa, 35, the driver of the bus. The bus was heading to Challakere from Mangaluru. The driver failed to notice the truck parked roadside in the early hours.

The injured were shifted to McGann Hospital in Shivamogga city. Tunga Nagar police registered the case.
