In a swift rescue operation, the Ramamurthy Nagar police rescued two young girls who accidentally got locked inside a bedroom in their home at NRI Layout in east Bengaluru on Thursday.
According to the police, the incident occurred on March 6 around 11.19 p.m. at a residence in Kanaka Nagar, NRI Layout, in the Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station limits. The girls were trapped inside the bedroom after the door got locked from inside.
Their parents attempted to open the door but failed, and then contacted the Namma 112 emergency helpline seeking assistance.
Acting on the alert, the Namma 112 control room informed the personnel on duty in Hoysala-50 patrol vehicle. Assistant sub-inspector Gurumurthy and head constable Venkatesh rushed to the spot within nine minutes.
After assessing the situation, the police managed to rescue the two girls safely from the locked room.
