Two held for possessing ganja in Villupuram district

The Villupuram town police have arrested two persons and seized 1.8 kg of ganja from their possession on Thursday. The arrested were identified as R. Vanavarayan, 25, and S. Mani, 26, of Anna Nagar in Villupuram.

Police said during a routine vehicle check at V. Marudhur, a team of police personnel found the duo moving under suspicious circumstances. After a search, the police found 1.8 kg of ganja in their possession. The duo was produced before a local court and remanded to custody.

A case has been registered.
