Two held for star tortoise sale in Madikeri

Madikeri: The forest mobile squad arrested two persons for allegedly attempting to sell a star tortoise.Police acted on a tip-off that two persons were attempting to sell a star tortoise at a bus shelter in Kannanda Padubira Circle in Madikeri city. At 6.30pm on Tuesday, the team conducted a raid, detained the two accused and seized their belongings, a release said.
