Two held with 18 kg of cocaine worth Rs 9 lakh from Ranchi railway station

Ranchi: Two persons, including a woman, were arrested with 18 kg cocaine from Ranchi railway station on Wednesday, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) said on Thursday. The contraband, valued at Rs 9 lakh, was seized from platform number 1.

It was being taken from Sambalpur in Odisha to Rohtas in Bihar.In a statement, the RPF stated that during its inspection under Operation Narcos, its team became suspicious of the two accused as they waited at the platform. When questioned, they identified themselves as Raju Kumar and Chhoti Kumari of Rohtas district and added that the bags with them contained cocaine.The accused were handed over to GRP for further action.
