In a move aimed at maintaining public peace and law and order, the Bidar Police have ordered the externment of two history-sheeters from the district.

The individuals have been identified as 25-year-old Rehmath Hussain and 38-year-old Javid Ali, both residents of Irani Colony in Bidar under the Gandhi Gunj Police limits.

According to a statement issued by Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti on Wednesday, Rehmath Hussain has been externed to Uttara Kannada, while Javid Ali has been externed to Chamarajanagar.

The two have been booked in multiple criminal cases, including possession of deadly weapons, criminal intimidation, theft and the sale of ganja.

The police said that they have been repeatedly involved in criminal activities that posed a threat to public peace and disrupted law and order, prompting the externment orders.

Earlier, on June 15, the District Police externed two other rowdy-sheeters to different districts. With the latest action, the police have continued their crackdown on habitual offenders.

Mr. Gunti said that strict action, including externment, will be taken against individuals involved in unlawful activities that disturb law and order in the district. He also appealed to the public, particularly youth, to refrain from engaging in illegal activities that can jeopardise their future.
