Two kill man over Rs 300, held

Ghaziabad: Two persons were arrested on Friday for allegedly killing Prem Kumar, a caretaker of a public toilet near Kaushambi bus stand, for barring their entry into the premises for the non-payment of Rs 300.According to police, the accused were identified as Sukhbir Singh (28), alias Sumit, a resident of Aligarh, and Rakesh Prasad (31).The matter came to the fore when complainant Kuldeep Singh said unknown persons had murdered Prem. A case was registered under BNS Section 103 (1) (murder). Autopsy report revealed the cause of death was strangulation. Police later identified the two accused and arrested them on Friday.ACP (Sahibabad) Shweta Yadav said, "BNS sections 315 (dishonest misappropriation of property that was in the possession of a deceased person at the time of their death) and 3(5) (act done by several people in furtherance of common intention), and 4/25 Arms Act, were added to the registered case under Section 103(1) BNS," she said.
