Two killed in accidents in Kottayam

Two people were killed in separate accidents in Kottayam on Saturday. In the first incident, a 24-year-old, identified as Abhijith, died when the motorcycle he was riding collided head-on with a car near Kummannoor on the Poonjar State Highway. The accident occurred around 8.30 a.m. Earlier, Aji, 52, was killed when he was caught under the wheels of a pickup van near Vembally. Aji was walking along the road when the pickup van, hit from behind by a truck, rammed into him. Aji, who worked as a driver at a stone crusher unit, was on his way to work when the accident happened.
