Two killed in refrigerator blast in Nirmal town

Two persons were killed when the compressor of a refrigerator exploded at their house in Nirmal town on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

One of the deceased was identified as Vijay, 50, a labourer of the double-bedroom housing colony at Mahalakshmiwada in the district headquarters town.

The identity of another victim could not be established immediately.

According to the police, the refrigerator blast is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.

The Nirmal town police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the explosion.
