Two students from a reputed South Mumbai institution died after a suspected drug overdose during a live concert held at the Nesco Complex in Goregaon, triggering concern over alleged drug consumption at large public gatherings.
The incident, which reportedly took place the night before yesterday, has led to a police investigation after two young attendees, a boy and a girl, lost their lives under suspicious circumstances.
Authorities suspect that the students may have consumed drugs during the event, which led to a severe deterioration in their health.
The concert, organised at the Nesco Complex, was attended by an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 people.
