Life is about maintaining balance between health, wealth, love, and happiness

For Udne Ki Aasha actor Kanwar Dhillon, health is of utmost importance. Asked to take a pick between health, wealth, love, and happiness, he said, "I believe life is about maintaining balance between all these pillars.

My responsibility has always been to keep these four foundations intact and alive.Health is extremely important because, as we say, "health is wealth.""What will you do with your wealth if your health is not good? I have always been very health conscious, and I try to take care of myself physically and mentally. Wealth is something that has come into my life through a lot of hard work over the years, and I truly value that.

I keep working hard because financial stability is important," he added. He also shared that love is also a big part of his life. He said, "My relationships, friendships, and my family have always been a priority for me, and that hasn’t changed over the years."What about happiness? "It is something you create within yourself. It is a by-product of how you train your mind to deal with life. There will always be good and tough times, but I have conditioned myself not to stay stuck in negativity.

If something bad happens, I allow myself to feel it, but then I move on. That’s my mantra. So when I look at my life today, I feel grateful that I have been able to maintain a balance between these four pillars.

"Kanwar also stressed that money is extremely important, but it comes with a career. He said, "In today’s world, money plays a very big role in our lives. If you have enough to live comfortably, to support your family, to handle emergencies, and to enjoy life, it gives you a sense of security and peace. But money doesn’t just come on its own. It flows in when you plan your career well and work consistently towards it.""Career becomes the foundation of how you move forward in life—professionally, personally, and financially. The way you plan your career eventually decides how you manage your life and your finances. For me, work and financial stability have always gone hand in hand. From the very beginning, my career and financial independence have been top priorities," he added. His goal now is to succeed with every project he takes on. He said, "Right now, I’m happy with the way things are going, especially with Udne Ki Aasha. At the same time, I would love to explore the digital space if the right opportunity comes along—maybe do a few OTT projects or even a reality show."He was quick to mention that films are an eventual goal for him. He said, "I don’t know when that will happen, but I would only do a film if I find something substantial and meaningful—something worth my time and effort.

In films, you often get just one real chance, and I don’t want to take that opportunity just for the sake of it. I want it to truly matter.""For now, I’m happy doing what I’m doing. My goals are high, my passion is strong, and I continue to work hard. The rest will follow," he added. While talking about goals, he also shared his insight on how expectations and performance need to go together. "Many people expect a lot from their careers, but they don’t actually put in the effort required to reach those goals.

Later, they end up complaining about not getting what they wanted. I have always been very realistic about my expectations. I believe you should only expect what you genuinely feel is possible at that point in your life," he said."I’m a very practical person, and I don’t expect more than my capacity or more than what I feel I deserve at that stage. Also, people often see only the glamour of our profession. But behind that glamour there are crazy schedules, sleepless nights, and a lot of hard work.

That’s why I feel it’s important to stay grounded and keep your expectations realistic," he added.A message to your younger self? "You did it right. I started my journey at the right age, and I’m very proud of my younger self for handling things the way I did. During Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, I was juggling college and shooting at the same time. Completing my graduation while managing shoots was not easy," he said."I’m proud that I went through every audition, every look test, and every struggle without any help. I built my journey step by step on my own. So if I could talk to my younger self today, I would just say thank you—thank you for having that hunger, that passion, and that drive. That same energy is what has brought me here after 14 years in this industry," Kanwar ended.
