Premier League outfit Chelsea registered a hard-fought 1-0 win over Pafos FC at Stamford Bridge on Thursday in the UEFA Champions League fixture between the sides, as Moises Caicedo provided the telling touch of the game.

Caicedo headed the ball into the net for the only goal of the game in the 78th minute of the game at home to give the Blues the win over the side from Cyprus.

“I was delighted for Moises Caicedo to get the goal and the win we deserved," Rosenior said.

“Moises is an outstanding player, a world-class midfielder. When you play against a low block your pivot players play higher up and hopefully he can continue chipping in with goals."

“Of course you want to score more goals but the reality is we are in the top eight," Rosenior said.

“We have to keep focusing on the job and that is to win as many games as possible. I can’t affect how people judge me but I am very excited for the future of this club.

“I would like the fans to be with us and with me but to do that I need to earn that."

Elsewhere, Spanish champions Barcelona registered a come-from-behind 4-2 win at Slavia Prague as Hansi Flick and Co registered their fourth win of the ongoing UCL campaign.

Fermin Lopez netted twice, while Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski bagged a goal each after the Pole had turned one into his own net following Vasil Kusej opener.

Liverpool romped their way to a 3-0 win over Marseille at the Orange Velodrome as Dominic Szoboszlai, Cody Gako and an own goal by Geronimo Rulli completed a resounding win over Arne Slot’s Reds from Merseyside.
