Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the 2nd National Conference of Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Heads of States and Union Territories here on September 16.
On the occasion, Mr. Shah will also release the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Annual Report 2024 and launch an online Drug Disposal Campaign.
ANTF Heads from 36 States and Union Territories, along with stakeholders from other government departments, will attend the conference, scheduled for September 16 and 17.
“The conference will serve as a strategic platform to reinforce Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to a drug-free India and to formulate a roadmap to achieve this goal,” a government release said.
The conference, being organised by the NCB, is themed “United Resolve, Shared Responsibility”. Eight technical sessions during the event will cover a range of topics, including “Drug Free India @ 2047 - Criticality of ANTF and NCORD”; deportation and extradition of fugitives and narcotics offenders; and financial investigation.
