Union leaders urge protection of Sathya Sai water project in Anantapur

The leaders of Sri Sathya Sai Drinking Water Supply Project workers union urged the Jana Sena Party (JSP) undivided Anantapur district president T.C. Varun to ensure that the project is not merged with the Zilla Parishad.

The union leaders met Mr. Varun, who is also the Chairman of Anantapur-Hindupur Urban Development Authority (AHUDA), at the latter’s office in Anantapur on Thursday and submitted a representation on the issue. The union leaders informed Mr. Varun that lakhs of people are benefitting with the supply of water through the project for the past 28 years and the implementation of the project was effective under the Sri Satya Sai Water Supply Project Board.
