The Uttar Pradesh government transferred 20 IAS officers in a late-night administrative reshuffle, changing key secretary-level posts and appointing new Chief Development Officers in Azamgarh, Ballia and Etawah.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 20 IAS officers at the Secretary and Special Secretary levels while assigning new responsibilities to several senior officials across key departments.
The reshuffle also included changes in the posts of Chief Development Officers (CDOs) in Azamgarh, Ballia and Etawah. Several officers who were recently inducted into the IAS from the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) cadre were also given fresh postings.
Among the key appointments, Sudha Verma was shifted from the post of Secretary, Revenue, and appointed as the Labour Commissioner. Dr Sarika Mohan, who was serving as Director General of Medical Education and Secretary, Medical Education, was appointed Inspector General of Registration.
Neha Sharma was transferred from the post of Inspector General of Registration to take charge as Director General of Medical Education and Secretary, Medical Education.
Arun Kumar, who was serving as Additional Director General of Geology and Mining, was appointed Mission Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Livelihood Mission. J Reebha was given additional charge as Additional Director in the Geology and Mining Department while continuing as Special Secretary in the department.
Deepa Ranjan was moved from the post of Mission Director, State Livelihood Mission, to Special Secretary in the Culture Department. Sanjay Kumar was relieved of the charge of Special Secretary, Culture, and assigned additional responsibility as Director, Culture. Vishal Singh, who continues as Special Secretary, Culture, was relieved of the additional charge of Director, Culture.
Sandeep Bhagia was transferred from the post of Additional Commissioner, State Tax, and appointed Managing Director of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam.
Parikshit Khatana, Chief Development Officer of Azamgarh, was posted as Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Gautam Buddh Nagar. Rakesh Kumar Patel, who was serving as Additional Commissioner in the Lucknow Division, was appointed the new Chief Development Officer of Azamgarh.
Ojaswi Raj was transferred from the post of Chief Development Officer, Ballia, and appointed Municipal Commissioner of Mathura-Vrindavan. Alok Kumar was posted as the new Chief Development Officer of Ballia from his previous assignment as Additional District Magistrate.
Ajay Kumar Gautam, Chief Development Officer of Etawah, was posted as Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Ghaziabad-I. Sanjay Kumar Singh, who was serving as Additional District Magistrate (Administration), was appointed the new Chief Development Officer of Etawah.
In other appointments, Manikandan A, who was awaiting posting, was appointed Additional Land Management Commissioner in the Revenue Council. Dr Vandana Verma, Joint Managing Director of the State Sugar Corporation, was given additional charge of the Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation.
