The Uttar Pradesh government has ordered a strict investigation into the funding of madrasas across the state, with a special focus on foreign funding sources.

Officials will closely examine the sources of funds received by madrasas, including foreign contributions. Along with this, the personal bank accounts of madrasa operators will also be scrutinised.

The move aims to ensure transparency, with authorities set to conduct a detailed audit of all financial transactions linked to madrasas. This includes a comprehensive review of income, expenditure, and fund utilisation.
