UP's Yogi Govt Introduces 5 Weekend Religious Tour Packages: Check Schedule, Itinerary, And More

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has introduced five weekend religious tour packages, including ‘Sugam Darshan’, to connect citizens with the state’s spiritual heritage.

This initiative is part of the state government’s efforts to connect devotees with Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, and the eternal spiritual consciousness of Naimisharanya through the ‘Visit My State’ campaign.

According to an official statement from the government, the tour packages will allow people to travel regularly from Lucknow to Ayodhya and Naimisharanya, as well as Prayagraj-Ayodhya, Prayagraj-Chitrakoot and Prayagraj-Vindhyachal Dham.

The benefits of these services will be made available, starting this weekend.

Simplified Booking Process

In its move to accelerate the ‘Visit My State’ campaign –– aiming to boost tourism in the state –– the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) has simplified the booking process for travellers, allowing devotees to register their journeys through both online and offline modes.

Pertinent to note that bookings for the special tour packages can be made through the UPSTDC’s official website, which is upstdc.co.in. Special discounts will be provided on group bookings.

According to Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, the UPSTDC regularly operates attractive tour packages keeping in mind the convenience of devotees and tourists.

He stated that after receiving extensive public support, the ‘Sugam Darshan’ service has now been made a regular service as part of the effort to promote ‘Visit My State’. Similarly, the one-day pilgrimage from Lucknow to Naimisharanya Dham has also been made a regular service.

One-day weekend tour packages from the Kumbh city of Prayagraj to Ayodhya, Chitrakoot Dham and Vindhyachal have also been regularised, he said.

Singh asserted that the service would continue without interruption, adding even if only two devotees book a particular journey, the tour will remain operational.

Check Schedule, Itinerary, And More

  1. Lucknow-Ayodhya Travel: The one-day ‘Sugam Darshan’ journey from Lucknow to Ayodhya will now operate every Saturday and Sunday, read the statement.

The journey will kickstart at 7:30 A.M. from Hotel Gomti in Lucknow. Thereafter,  Thereafter, the vehicle will pick up devotees from 1090 Chauraha at 7:45 A.M. and Polytechnic Chauraha at 8:00 A.M., arriving in Ayodhya at approximately 10:30 A.M.

During the full-day tour, devotees will be taken for darshan at Hanumangarhi, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi and Kanak Bhawan. After lunch arrangements at Saryu Guest House, the itinerary will include visits to the Saryu River Front, Ram Ki Paidi and Nageshwarnath Temple.

The return journey to Lucknow will begin at 5:00 P.M.

The affordable package, operated through a Tempo Traveller, has been priced at Rs 1,500 for senior citizens and Rs 2,000 for other travellers. To make the journey comfortable and convenient, facilities such as a local guide, drinking water and lunch will also be provided.

       2. Lucknow-Naimisharanya Tour: The one-day Lucknow-Naimisharanya tour will commence every Friday at 7:30 A.M. from Hotel Gomti in Lucknow and reach the destination at around 10:00 A.M. Thereafter, visitors will be taken to Chakratirth, Vyas Gaddi and Dadhichi Kund.

After lunch, devotees will visit Lalita Devi Temple, Balaji Temple, Havan Kund and Hanuman Garhi Temple. The Tempo Traveller will depart for Lucknow at 5:30 P.M. and reach the city at around 8:00 P.M.

The vehicle will depart according to passengers’ convenience from Hotel Gomti at 7:30 A.M., from 1090 Chauraha at 7:45 A.M. and from Polytechnic Chauraha at 8:00 A.M. Under the Lucknow-Naimisharanya package, the travel charge has been fixed at Rs 1,000 for senior citizens and Rs 1,700 for other travellers.

3. Prayagraj-Chitrakoot Tour: The one-day Prayagraj-Chitrakoot tour will operate every Saturday, departing from Prayagraj at 7:00 A.M. and reaching Chitrakoot at approximately 10:00 A.M., where devotees will visit major religious sites associated with the penance land of Lord Shri Ram.

The journey includes visits to Gupt Godavari, Mata Anusuya Ashram, Sphatik Shila and Ram Darbar, along with darshan at Kamtanath Temple and Hanuman Dhara.

Lunch arrangements will be available on a self-financed basis. The return journey will commence at 5:00 P.M., concluding upon arrival in Prayagraj at 8:00 P.M. The package, operated through a comfortable Urbania Traveller, has been priced at only Rs 1,000 per person.

4. Prayagraj to Vindhyachal Tour: The UPSTDC is also operating a special one-day religious tourism package from Prayagraj to Vindhyachal for devotees. The journey will begin every Friday at 7:00 A.M. from Prayagraj and reach Vindhyachal at around 10:00 A.M., where devotees will have the opportunity to seek the divine blessings of Goddess Vindhyavasini Devi.

After lunch, devotees will be taken for darshan at major Shakti Peeth such as Ashtabhuja Temple and Kali Khoh. The return journey will begin at 5:00 P.M., concluding upon arrival in Prayagraj at 8:00 P.M. The package, operated through a comfortable Urbania Traveller, has been priced at only Rs 600 per person.

    5. Prayagraj to Ayodhya: The Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation is also operating a special one-day religious journey from Prayagraj to Ayodhya for devotees. The journey will begin every Sunday at 7:00 A.M. from Prayagraj and reach Ayodhya at 10:00 A.M., where devotees will be able to take a holy dip at Ram Ki Paidi and seek darshan at Hanumangarhi and Shri Ram Mandir.

After lunch, devotees will be taken for darshan at Kanak Bhawan. The return journey will begin at 5:00 P.M. and conclude upon reaching Prayagraj at 8:00 P.M. This package, operated through a comfortable Urbania Traveller, has been priced at only Rs 1,000 per person.
