UP: Traffic police issue advisory for devotees during Pitrupaksha in Varanasi

VARANASI: In view of the expected rush of devotees during Pitrupaksha in Varanasi, traffic police have issued an advisory for the convenience of the public.Devotees from other districts and states begin arriving in Varanasi from 7 September for Pitrupaksha rituals, travelling by private and tourist buses.To facilitate smooth movement, restrictions on bus entry into Varanasi city have been lifted for 15 days between 10.00 pm and 8.00 am. During this period, private and tourist buses will travel from Lahartara to Cantt Overbridge, then to Lakadmandi, Golgadda intersection, Kazzakpura, Bhadaurchungi, and finally to Bhaisasur Ghat.Drivers have been instructed not to park vehicles on asphalt roads and to use only designated parking areas.
