Iran-US-Israel War Ceasefire News Today Latest Updates: US Vice President JD Vance is expected to head the American delegation for talks with Iran in Islamabad, the White House said, even as Tehran has refused to participate in a second round of negotiations with the United States.
Iranian state media attributed the decision to what it called Washington’s “maximalism and unreasonable and unrealistic demands,” along with frequent shifts in position, contradictions, and the continuation of a so-called naval blockade and pressure tactics.

Meanwhile, the United States Navy has deployed sea drones and other robotic systems to help clear mines from the seabed in the Strait of Hormuz, as part of efforts to restore commercial shipping through the critical maritime route.

State broadcaster IRIB on Sunday cited Iranian sources as saying “there are currently no plans to participate in the next round of Iran-US talks”.
