US-Israel-Iran War Latest News Updates Today: US President Donald Trump stated that the war in Iran is “pretty much over”. He also warned Iran and said that any attempt to disrupt oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz would trigger a response “twenty times harder” than they have been hit thus far.
Meanwhile, Trump also spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin, on Monday, regarding a “quick settlement” of the Iran war. The development came as Russia pledged “unwavering support” to Iran’s new supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei.
Iran on Monday appointed Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as its new supreme leader.

The conflict also rattled global markets. Crude oil prices witnessed extreme volatility over the last 24 hours, swinging sharply from multi-month highs to a steep correction as geopolitical sentiment shifted.
On March 9, global benchmark Brent Crude Oil surged above $115 per barrel, briefly touching levels near $119, as the escalating conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States sparked fears of major supply disruptions. The spike was driven largely by concerns that shipping through the Strait of Hormuz — which handles roughly 20% of global oil supply — could remain blocked for an extended period.
