San Diego-based exotic dancer Charm Daze revealed in a viral TikTok video that "depressed" young US soldiers were talking about their deployment amid the war on Iran.

After late-night pizza orders at the Pentagon, strip clubs near military bases are becoming the latest sign of impending US military operations, after an American stripper revealed on TikTok that young US troops are leaking news of their deployments to West Asia.

In a viral video, San Diego-based stripper and exotic dancer Charm Daze, who has 900,000 followers online, shared that a wave of “depressed" soldiers from nearby military bases have been lamenting their deployment scheduled for next week, spending all their cash in the clubs.

“Something I’ve noticed lately is all the military guys are coming in, and they’re spending all of their money," she said in the video. “They’re kind of depressed. They’re like, ‘Oh yeah, we’re gonna have fun,’ but you can tell something’s off. And then they’re like ‘We deploy next week’."

“A lot of them are really kind, and to see these, like, young guys… coming in and then dancing with them. To see these young guys and then being like, ‘bye,’ it’s actually making me emotional," she added, describing the soldiers as “baby-faced" and “fetuses." Her video has further fuelled speculation that the United States is preparing for a major escalation with Iran by deploying troops in West Asia.

San Diego is next to one of the largest US military hubs, including Naval Base San Diego, Naval Base Coronado and Camp Pendleton. As is customary with military towns, there are also plenty of strip joints next to these bases.

Daze’s video quickly spread online, with users commenting on the human side of troops bracing for deployment during a war, while others criticised them for endangering operational security and leaking classified military secrets.

“PSA: Don’t tell your adult entertainer you’re deploying. You gotta remind your folks: Don’t talk to your barber about when you’re deploying. Don’t talk to your adult entertainer about deploying or when you’re leaving, or what you’re doing or dates and times and locations. Because they don’t know any better, they’re gonna post a TikTok video about it," Marine officer and influencer Kagan Dunlap posted on X.

The video came as US President Donald Trump appeared to increase pressure on Iran by deploying thousands of additional troops, including Marine Expeditionary Units and elements of the elite 82nd Airborne, already repositioned to the region alongside naval assets. About 3,500 sailors and Marines aboard the USS Tripoli arrived in West Asia over the weekend.

However, the mood inside the US is far from supportive, with a recent poll showing that two-thirds of Americans want the US to end its involvement with the war even if it means not achieving its core strategic objectives.
