Rana Daggubati has clarified he is not part of SS Rajamouli's upcoming time adventure, 'Varanasi,' despite fan speculation linking him to a negative role. The film, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, features Prithviraj Sukumaran as the main villain. 'Varanasi' boasts a massive Rs 1400 crore budget and a recreated city set, slated for an April 2027 release.
Rana Daggubati played the oppressive king Bhallaldeva in the ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster 'Baahubali.' As the ‘RRR’ director is now gearing up for his upcoming time adventure, mythologtraveler 'Varanasi,' Varanasi’, with Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the lead, some fans have been coming up with theories that they may also see Rana in a negative role.
Recently, he reacted and clarified whether he is a pastar-studdeder studded cast.Rana Daggubati’s reactionSpeaking to News18, Rana Daggubati shared that he is not part of the film and said, "I'm not a part of." the film. I do wish I were, but I'm not (laughs)." He clarified that he was never considered for 'Varanasi,'Varanasi’, putting an end to the speculation.

Meanwhile, PeeCee plays Mandakini, with her character seen wielding a handgun. The film also marks her much-awaited comeback to Indian cinema. Prakash Raj will be also seen in the film and reports suggest 'Dhurandhar' actor R Madhavan will also be a part of it.
Grand sets of ‘Varanasi’
‘Varansi’ is a grthatovie which is said to have been made on a budget of Rs 1400 crore. A few days ago pictures from the sets were all over the internet. A report by Rotten Tomatoes claimed that the makers have made a huge set of over 700 by 400 feet, which has been seen constructed on the Hyderabad soil, which looks nothing short of the city of Varanasi.
The ‘Varanasi’ makers have recreated the iconic ghats and the famous Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple.The film is set to hit the big screens on April 7, 2027, worldwide.On the other hand, Rana Daggubati is currently promoting his latest 'Neelira,'‘Neelira’, which was backed under his banner. He was last seen in the Tamil-Telugu movie ‘Kaantha’.
