Varun Tej starrer romantic drama film ‘Tholiprema’ has completed eight years since its release. The actor took to his social media handle to share old photos from the shoot, remembering the time he spent on the film.

The actor called them “not just a memory, but something far deeper.”

On his X (formerly Twitter) handle, he wrote, “Some films stay with you long after the cameras stop rolling. Tholiprema is one such chapter that was made with so much love and with some incredible people. Not just a memory, but something far deeper. 8 years and forever grateful.”

The love story that won hearts

‘Tholiprema’ was directed by Venky Atluri. The film starred Varun Tej and Raashii Khanna. The story is about Aditya and Varsha.

Aditya is a happy and outgoing young man and on the other hand Varsha is quiet and shy. Aditya falls in love with her. Varsha also loves him, but she is scared to say it. They part ways. After some years, they meet again. The music was composed by Thaman.The film was loved by many fans. It was also remade in Bengali as ‘Fidaa’.

About ‘Matka’

Speaking about Varun Tej’s work front, he was last seen in the film ‘Matka’. It was a period action thriller directed by Karuna Kumar. The film showed the life of Vasu, who gets into the Matka gambling world. Additionally, Meenakshi Chaudhary is seen as Sujatha (Vasu's wife) and Nora Fatehi in her Telugu debut add strong support. The film, despite its hype, had a low reception at the box office.
