Veteran actor Achyut Potdar passes away at 91; last rites on August 19

Veteran actor Achyut Potdar, who has been a part of several successful Bollywood films and TV shows passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 91. He took his last breath at Jupiter Hospital in Thane.

The cause of his death has not yet been disclosed. His passing marks a significant loss for the Indian film industry.As per reports in the media, the veteran actor was hospitalised at Jupiter Hospital in Thane after facing health issues. Unfortunately, he passed away on Monday. His final rites are scheduled to take place on August 19, 2025, in Thane. Over the years, Achyut made his mark by appearing in numerous Hindi and Marathi films as well as television shows.Several leading Marathi GEC TV channels paid a tribute to the late actor on their social media accounts, confirming the news of his demise.

Besides movies like 3 Idiots, Ardh Satya, and Yeh Dillagi, he was also seen in popular television shows including Wagle Ki Duniya, Majha Hoshil Na, Mrs. Tendulkar, Bharat Ki Khoj, among others.
