Actor turned politician Thalapathy Vijay made a rare public appearance in Chennai on Sunday amid the doubts surrounding the release of his film, ‘Jana Nayagan.’ The pictures making the rounds on the internet show Vijay arriving at the event as people greeted him warmly.

Speaking of what he wore, Vijay was dressed in a white shirt and white trousers. He wore a beige blazer over it. His simple and neat look caught attention. He walked calmly and acknowledged everyone around him.

The wedding was of Sahil, son of YS Sunil Reddy, and Vedika. Mutliple high profile personalities were seen at the ceremony. YSR Congress Party chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was seen in the pictures. Additionally, actor Suriya was also present at the event.

‘Jana Nayagan’ faces release uncertainty

Talking about Vijay’s upcoming film, which will be his last cinematic outing before he focuses fully on his political career. The movie ‘Jana Nayagan’ directed by H Vinoth has been facing some tense times lately as it still waits for its CBFC clearance.

Initially announced to release on Pongal 2026, that is January 9, the film was delayed. As of now the release date of the movie is not confirmed. It remains uncertified amid revising committee reviews and legal back-and-forth.‘Jana Nayagan’ also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Narain and Priyamani.
